HISTORY

A premier location since the 1960’s, this site has a long and storied history of serving the University Ave coordinate and Spring Harbor neighborhood in Madison. Prior to becoming Brennan’s Market, this location was a Dog n Suds Drive In. Brennan’s Market expanded and came to Madison in 1970 taking over this location, originally founded in Monroe, WI during World War II and serving as a full-service grocery store. Since its time in Madison, it has been known by many to offer high quality fruits and vegetables, Wisconsin cheese, and other unique items to its customers. As one business moved away from this location, we felt it necessary to keep its long-lasting history alive by delivering a high quality and unique apartment building. In order to showcase the rich history of this location, we will be featuring historic photos and decor throughout the building.
